What makes this different

Not all matcha is equal.
Here's why ours matters.

Most matcha on shelves is culinary grade — bitter, dull, and from later harvests. This is ceremonial grade from Kagoshima's first spring flush.

🌱
First harvest only
Picked in early spring when leaves are youngest, sweetest, and most nutrient-dense.
🎋
Shade-grown 21+ days
Boosts chlorophyll and L-theanine. This is why it's vivid green — not olive.
⚙️
Stone-ground slowly
Granite mills at low speed. No heat damage. Full nutrients preserved.
🔬
Lab tested
Pesticide-free, heavy metal tested.

Common questions

Everything you need
to know.

How is ceremonial different from culinary? +
Ceremonial grade uses only first-harvest, shade-grown leaves that are stone-ground slowly. It's meant to be drunk straight — naturally sweet with no bitterness. Culinary grade is from later harvests, more bitter, and designed for baking and cooking.
How much caffeine is in one serving? +
Approximately 70mg — similar to an espresso. But matcha also contains L-theanine, which smooths the caffeine curve. Instead of a spike and crash, you get 4–6 hours of calm, focused energy without jitters.
Where is this matcha sourced? +
Single-estate farms in Kagoshima Prefecture, southern Japan. A dynamic blend led by Yabukita, Saemidori and Okumidori cultivars, shade-grown 21+ days, first flush only.
Is it really pesticide-free? +
Yes. Every batch is lab tested for pesticides, heavy metals, and purity. We can provide documentation on request. Our farming partners use organic practices.
Can I use it for lattes? +
Absolutely. Ceremonial grade makes the best lattes — the natural sweetness comes through even with milk. Whisk with 50ml hot water first, then add 150ml warm oat or dairy milk.
How should I store matcha? +
Airtight, cool, dark, away from strong smells. Once opened, refrigerate and use within 4–6 weeks. Our new tin packaging protects against light and air degradation.
