A Cup of Purpose:
The Story Behind Our Matcha
We never vibed with coffee. Especially Lucia — caffeine made her anxious AF, shaky, and snapping by 2 PM (sorry, not sorry). Meanwhile, crash-town was becoming a daily destination.
We wanted better.
Something that actually supported our energy without faking it. Something that made us feel alive, focused, and fun — not like we were one espresso away from a meltdown.
And that’s when matcha found us.
Matcha hit different. No chaos. No crash. Just calm, clear, focused energy — thanks to its powerhouse duo: caffeine + L-theanine. Like a green hug for your nervous system. Suddenly, our brains worked, our mood stayed cute, and our daily ritual? Became something we actually looked forward to.
Evenings became sacred too. Enter hojicha — matcha’s mellow, roasted cousin. Basically a warm blanket in a cup. Low caffeine, cozy vibes, and the perfect way to say “I’m off the clock now.”
But here's the thing — not all matcha is created equal. Most of it tastes like grass and vibes like your aunt’s yoga class.
Ours doesn’t.
We went straight to the source: small family farms in Japan where matcha’s been a way of life for generations. Ethically grown, traditionally crafted, and always ceremonial grade — our matcha is smooth, vibrant, and totally bitterness-free.
It's not just a drink. It's a ritual.
A rebellion against burnout.
A buzz-free boost that actually lasts.
Welcome to OURA.

Why Quality Matters
Not all matcha is created equal. The color, texture, and taste can tell you everything about its quality. A simple “finger swipe test” shows the difference:
- Ceremonial Grade – Vibrant green, silky, and smooth. Finely stone-ground from the youngest tea leaves, it glides across your finger like soft powder. This is the highest quality, perfect for whisking and drinking straight — naturally sweet, no bitterness.
- Premium / Daily Grade – Still bright in color but slightly less vivid. The texture is fine but not as smooth, with a more robust flavor. Ideal for lattes, smoothies, or daily rituals.
- Culinary Grade – Dull green or yellowish, with a coarse texture. Made from more mature leaves, it often tastes bitter or astringent. Best suited for baking, not for sipping.
The difference matters — both for taste and for your health. Higher-grade matcha means more antioxidants, more L-theanine for calm focus, and a smoother experience you’ll enjoy every day. That’s why we source only ceremonial-grade matcha from Japan, crafted by farmers who have perfected this tradition for generations.
